2016 Houston OTC was great although …

Houston OTC this year was held in May 2^nd thru the 5^th. People all over the world was looking forward to feel the ambiance of petroleum headquarter of the world. The energy price which tumbled two years ago have given a good shake to the industry. Cancelled contracts, postponed projects, workforce reduction and laying off are some symptoms which took over the aura of energy industry globally.

Monday of the OTC gave that glimpse of hope. People from all over the States, Americas, western hemisphere and eastern hemisphere see it themselves. Everyone survives. There is hope!

The energy moguls understand this is a time of drought but it will not be here forever. The drought is not in the lack of oil but is in the overly abundant of oil. We are sinking in the oil flood. it is a matter of time before the flood subsides and the energy price will stabilize again.

Many companies exhibited in the OTC with the consolation of smaller center, shorter booths, less salesmen and no big diner receptions. As a matter of fact, the participants from non-USA countries are much less. This place was not much of a mixed salad. There were more locals than international attendants.
