Houston Launch – Alpha Launchcamp
Houston Launch is the premier program for working professionals aspiring to become entrepreneurs, start-ups, and entrepreneurs needing a refresher on modern methods in the Greater Houston area. Launchcamp offers evening and weekend workshops for entrepreneurs co-facilitated by two of Houston’s top companies supporting growth of the Houston Small Business Market, Houston Business Lounge and Small Business Connexion.
All workshops will be administered by our trained staff and subject matter experts. Launchcamp will consist of two 3 hour sessions each week. One session will be a Classroom Training and the remainder will be an on-line Web Based Traning. All classroom and web-based training will be recorded for indefinite playback.
The only qualifications needed are a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and share.

Launchcamp Weeks 1-3
Week 1 – Concept building blocks from Macro to Micro. One of the biggest obstacles early on entrepreneurs must conquer is “ego”. Rome was not built in a day, nor will your business. We will deconstruct your business concept so that it becomes manageable and actionable.
Also, in Week 1 learn your options for obtaining a business license, EIN, selecting a legal structure and more.
Week 2– Business funding from traditional to modern methods. In order to secure funding of any kind, you must learn to analyze your business from the view point of the investor or underwriter.
In addition to funding methods in Week 3, we will go over how to construct an Exit Strategy and the importance of “Build to Sell” as a primary strategy.
Week 3 – Social Media and digital media comprehensive training Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and Email marketing. Learning social and digital media is no longer an option. The sooner you get started, the better!
Launchcamp Weeks 4-6
Week 4 – Branding and Marketing. Learn the difference and how to apply uniquely to your business. No two businesses are the same.
Also in Week 4 training on PR, Advertising, and Media.
Week 5 – Relationship building is critical to the success of a business. Professional effective networking is part art and part strategy. Learn how to build strategic relationships and how to maximize your time networking.
Week 6 – Learn how to “Pitch” a business to potential investors.
Also in Week 6, learn how to get a product to market. Stop walking around with drawings, and prototypes that don’t work. Learn how to get the resources to advance to a working prototype.
